You're ready to leave for your trip, and there's one last detail to take care of airport parking. Where do you leave your vehicle when it's time to catch your flight? There are plenty of options for parking at the Las Vegas airport. Read on to get some tips on finding plentiful parking.
Harry Reid International Airport
The Las Vegas airport is about 5 miles south of downtown Las Vegas and is located in Paradise, Nevada. Covering over 2800 acres, LAS is one of the country's largest airports in the country. Many travellers come through this airport each year, and the heavy traffic makes parking at the airport challenging. Not to worry, there are plenty of options to choose from when considering parking your vehicle at the airport while you're away.
Valet Parking
If you need to catch up or just want to avoid taking the time to park your vehicle yourself, the Valet parking option is the one for you. The Valet parking drop-off area is located in the garage next to Terminal 1 on Level 2. Just bring your vehicle to the designated area, and an attendant will be waiting to take care of everything. Unload your luggage and hand off your keys, and you're ready to head to your gate. Rates for Valet parking begin at $10 for the first hour, with a daily maximum of $30.
Cell Phone Waiting Lot
The Cell Phone Waiting Lot is the perfect place to park for those dropping off or picking up a passenger. This short-term waiting area is a short drive from the passenger pick-up area at Terminals 1 and 3. This lot is open daily from 6am until 1am. Because this lot is designed for quick airport visits, drivers must always remain in their vehicles. Any vehicle left unattended is subject to towing and/or parking fines. The airport staff regularly patrolled the lot, and it is under 24-hour video surveillance. Please note that commercial vehicles are prohibited in the Cell Phone Waiting Lot.
Economy Parking
There is Economy Parking available at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Terminal 1 Economy Parking costs $4 for the first 2 hours and a $2 charge for each additional hour. The maximum daily charge is $12.
A courtesy shuttle service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to take you between the parking area and terminals. Consider allowing at least 30 additional travel times when using the shuttle service.
Terminal 3 Economy Parking is located next to the Terminal 3 parking garage and is within walking distance of the terminal building. If you're looking to save some money and still be close to the terminal, this is the option you'll want to choose.
Short Term Parking
Short Term Parking is available for travellers staying at the airport for 3 hours or less. Short Term Parking is located outside Terminal 1 in the covered parking garage on Level 2M. Fees for the Short Term area are as follows:
- 0 - 1 hour: $3.00*
- 1 - 2 hours: $6.00
- 2 - 3 hours: $9.00
- Each Additional Hour: $4.00
You can also find Short Term Parking near the passenger pick-up area on Level 1. Because this lot is designed for short trips, the maximum daily fee for this area is $36. There are specific locations to park in depending on whether you travel domestically or internationally. If you are an international traveller, you'll want to park on the east side of the Terminal 3 parking garage. If you are a domestic traveller, you'll want to park on the west side of the parking garage.
Long Term Parking
Long Term Parking is meant for those who need to park for 3 hours or more. The Long Term parking area is in the garage right next to Terminal 1 on Levels 1M, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Long Term parking has a maximum parking limit of 30 days. If you need to park your vehicle for longer than 30 days, you'll need to contact Airport Parking to make arrangements. Reservations are currently out of stock for this parking area. Hence, it is best to arrive in plenty of time as these lots tend to fill up quickly, especially during peak travel seasons. When the Long Term lot is at capacity, customers will be directed to the Terminal 1 Economy lot. Pricing for Long Term parking is as follows:
- 0 - 3 hours: $10.00*
- Each Additional Hour: $2.00
- Daily Maximum: $18.00
The Terminal 3 Long Term parking is convenient to the international terminal. If you are travelling internationally or picking up an international traveller, you will want to park on the east side of the Terminal 3 parking garage. This puts you within walking distance of the terminal. If you are a domestic traveller, you will want to park on the west side of the parking garage. For your convenience, Parking Reminder cards are located by the elevators to help you remember where your vehicle is parked.
It is important to note that Terminal 1 Long Term parking is often at capacity. Pay attention to the digital road signs displaying garage status information and instructions for alternate parking areas.
Oversize Vehicle Parking
If you are driving an oversized vehicle, particular lots are designed to accommodate you. Terminal 1 Remote/Oversized Vehicle parking can accommodate more than 22 feet long, 8 ½ ft. wide or more than 13 ½ ft. high. A courtesy shuttle is available to take you to Terminal 1 from the lot. Terminal 3 Oversize parking is located right next to the Terminal 3 parking garage and is within walking distance of the terminal. Pricing for Oversize Vehicle Parking is:
- 0 - 2 hours: $4.00*
- Each Additional Hour: $2.00
- Daily Maximum: $12.00
Motorcycle/Bicycle/Handicap Parking
If you need to park a motorcycle, there is special parking available. Terminals 1 and 3 offer both Long Term and Short Term parking for motorcycles. Parking in the motorcycle spaces is a flat fee of $18 per day.
Bicycle parking is available at both terminals. You'll find the bicycle rack at Level 0 of Terminal 1's parking garage, next to the elevators. At the Terminal 3 parking garage, there are two bicycle racks on Level 0, one next to the east elevator lobby and the other next to the west elevator lobby.
All parking facilities have Handicap parking spaces close to elevators and/or shuttle stops.
