Jessie Duarte passed away today and was buried the same day. Here is why.

The Deputy Secretary of the ANC, Jessie Duarte, was reported to have passed away today morning. According to the Muslim religion, you died today and get buried the same day.

The sad news was reported by her Muslim religion. The funeral is taking place at Westpark Cemetery. Jessie served in the ANC for quite a long. The ANC, the ANC president, and the country are saddened by the loss of Jessie.

The funeral was not a state funeral as the ANC flag or the South African flag was not used for decoration. It's a family choice which cannot be changed.

President Cyril Ramaphosa and Paul Mashantile send their last deepest condolences to the family and friends. They mentioned she was a good comrade who was accountable.

Jessie Duarte has battled cancer since last year. However, she was on leave from November 2021. It is shocking and not easy to deal with such a situation. May her soul rest in peace.
