Sambulo and Zekhethelo wedding
Uzalo has confirmed that the upcoming episode will mark the first day of the wedding between two of its characters, Sambulo and Zekhethelo.

SABC 1’s Uzalo took to Twitter on Thursday, 12 August 2021, to confirm the upcoming nuptials of Pastor Sambulo Gwala and Zekhethelo Mhlongo. The characters are played by Menzi Brighton Biyela and Nyalleng Thibedi, respectively. The wedding between the two characters has been the A-storyline of the soapie following the sweeping romance between the two characters. Unlike weddings of the past from the production, they have not positioned the wedding as highly as that of Nkunzi, played by Masoja Josiah Msiza, and MaNgcobo, who was played by Dawn Thandeka King.


It has been revealed that it will be a two-part wedding. The first part of the wedding is set to air on Thursday. Thereafter, on Friday, 13 August 2021, the wedding special will conclude. Moreover, it has been indicated that the wedding will have a plot twist, but viewers will need to watch the two-day wedding special to find out what that will be.

Uzalo airs weeknights on SABC 1 at 20:30.
