Prince Kaybee (His real name is Kabelo Motsamai) has been commended for tweeting about taking responsibility, in light of the passing of Amapiano artists, Mpura and Killer Kau, and three others in an alleged drunk-driving accident.
Prince Kaybee took to Twitter on Tuesday, 10 August 2021, to post a tweet that reflected on the possible shifting of responsibilities when tragedy hits. The post received attention in light of the tragic and untimely passing of Amapiano artists, Mpura and Killer Kau, and their friends and industry counterparts, Khanya Hadebe, Thado Tot and TD Sage. The five are reported to have passed due to a head-on collision with another car, and it is alleged that they were also under the influence. Therefore, Prince Kaybee’s sentiments seem to suggest that unlike recent untimely deaths due to COVID-19, these deaths could have been avoided if the people in question were responsible for their actions. This could mean that they were meant to enlist a “sober partner” who would be responsible for driving or enlist the help of a hired driver. His post highlighted that drunken driving is a choice with dire consequences.
