e.tv’s Scandal! has suggested that it has permanently killed off the character of Romeo Medupi, following the shocking latest episode.
The latest airing of e.tv’s Scandal! on Thursday, 12 August 2021, took fans on a surprising anti-climactic journey. This is as the soapie had been teasing the return of beloved character, Romeo Medupi, played by Hungani Ndlovu. However, following the airing of the latest episode, fans of the show were surprised and disappointed to learn that the soapie only teased his return to permanently kill the character off.
On Wednesday, 11 August 2021, the soapie took to Twitter with a suggestive post indicating that Romeo is set to make a comeback. Fans of the show assumed that the character was going to be portrayed by a different actor, as it was rumoured that Ndlovu’s exit from the show was not amicable. Loyiso MacDonald was speculated to be the actor who would take over the role, however, it seems that Romeo will never return to the world of the story.
Fans who are still in disbelief about the revelation are waiting for the upcoming episode tonight, 13 August 2021, to find out if their worst conclusion to Romeo’s storyline is true. That being said, the soapie seems to have recognised that fact and is reportedly working on distracting viewers through creating a spectacle of an episode. This is as the soapie intends the A-storyline for the upcoming episode to be the wedding of Lindiwe and Nhlamulo, played by Nomvelo Makhanya and Matthews Rantsoma, respectively.
The soapie took to Twitter on Monday, 9 August 2021, to share a promotional post confirming that the upcoming episode will focus on the potential drama of the Ngema family. Many believe that Mlungisi Ngema, played by Patrick Mofokeng, will ruin the wedding.
