Zodwa Wabantu found humour in the current unrest, by warning women to be careful of looters who steal wigs worn in public.

Zodwa Wabantu took to Instagram on Wednesday, 14 July 2021, to share a humorous take on the current unrest in the country. Wabantu, who does not have a Twitter account, was able to be herself without the consideration of backlash through her inflammatory post. She was able to share a flippant post without fear that she would receive backlash from Twitter users, who would have probably highlighted her celebrity status as a rebuttal to her post.

In the post she shared, Wabantu warned women of looters that are out to steal their wigs. She shared a picture of a man running with a wig in hand. Behind him, a woman can be seen running after the man, suggesting that the man had stolen the wig right off of her head while she was jogging.

Wabantu is one of the stars that have not shared awareness posts on the ongoing unrest. Her focus has been on continuing to ensure that her egg business continues to succeed. This is as she took to Instagram on Thursday, 15 July 2021, to share that Lasizwe Dambuza is one of her celebrity clients.
