Oskido has released the supporting visuals for his current lead single, Banky Banky, featuring Niniola, and directed by Sesan.
Oskido took to Instagram on Wednesday, 7 July 2021, to confirm the availability of the Banky Banky music video, featuring Nigerian superstar, Niniola. The music video is Oskido’s current lead single off of his three-track EP, Back to the Future. The single was released as a lead single, as it encapsulated what the Kalawa Jazmee frontman attempted to do with the EP. Oskido has fused kwaito, amapiano and afro-beat elements together to produce a cohesive sound.
According to the shared promotional statement, “Banky Banky is described as a borderless outlook on music and experimental flair, he joins forces with Nigerian sensual singer/songwriter Niniola to create another amapiano classic. Niniola’s soothing voice immediately captivates you, on the laid back, mellow amapiano beats, carrying an already classic feel. Moreover, adding to that, Oskido’s raps on the song immediately hauls you straight back to Mzansi, creating a luscious and exotic taste of an integrated African sound in one serving.”
Going on to add, “The Sesan directed music video uses the premise of exploring the parallels in the current leading sounds in Africa and personifies the experience in fashion. The music video functions as a look book of proudly African high fashion designs with Niniola, Oskido and the dancers in the music video as models.”
