Nomzamo Mbatha shared the pain of losing her mother figure on social media, after laying the matriarch of her family to rest.
Nomzamo Mbatha took to Instagram on Friday, 23 July 2021, to bid a final farewell to the matriarch of her family. In 2020, Mbatha last shared a post featuring the woman that she deemed as her mother. In the caption of the post, she revealed that the memory was from their trip to Istanbul together. The trip was one which Mbatha had surprised her mother with, marking the first time the elderly woman had travelled out of the country.
Mbatha shared the touching post on the day they bid their final farewell to the matriarch of the family. On this day, her sister, Wendy, also revealed that she passed on Friday, 16 July 2021. Wendy shared a series of posts detailing what an integral part her mother played in all their lives.
Echoing her sister’s sentiments, Mbatha wrote, “Here’s to the woman who occupied the most tender part of my heart, who has loved me without limits since I was born, I will love and miss you for all my days. Everything hurts about losing you, everything… if I could kiss your face just one last time.”
