Joyous Celebration has released the Grace and Mercy live performance video from its current live recorded album and DVD, Still We Rise.
Joyous Celebration took to YouTube on Friday, 25 June 2021, to release the Grace and Mercy live performance video. The release forms part of the group’s weekly releases of live performances from the Still We Rise live-recorded album and DVD, which was hosted at the Joburg Theatre. Following the release of the live-recorded album on Friday, 26 March 2021, the choir affirmed its intention to release a new live performance every Friday, until all the praise and worship live performances are available on YouTube.Related post : Cassper Nyovest music video Siyathandana featuring Boohle and Abidoza
The single marks one of the first singles released so far which features an ensemble performance, rather than one led by an individual. The praise hymn features a brass-led introduction which allows for its supporting strings to be the continual push forward of the show. Moreover, the drums function as a signifier of when the choir needs to go up in a note. The performance is solemn but joyful, as each of the members seem to be singing the song more to themselves, than to the cameras.
