Musa Mthombeni has confirmed that he has concluded the traditional negotiations for his nuptials with former Miss South Africa, Liesl Laurie.
Musa Mthombeni took to Instagram on Sunday, 18 July 2021, to confirm that he has concluded the traditional negotiations with his fiancée, Liesl Laurie’s family. The former Miss South Africa and the former child star and now medical doctor shocked the world when they announced their engagement in June 2021. This is as it was believed that Laurie was still involved with former celebrity partner, ProVerb.
However, Mthombeni made it clear that he is unfazed by the public scrutiny. Hence, since revealing Laurie as his fiancée, he has been forthright with sharing the experience of being with Laurie. The two also revealed that they have been dating for 11 months. However, despite the short duration of their relationship, they seem happy with the decision to commit to marriage.
The shared post confirmed that the two have concluded the lobola negotiations, meaning that traditionally, they have made a ceremonial commitment to one another. However, the two still need to have the traditional wedding, which will include the trading of gifts between families to legitimise their union.
