Donald has announced the imminent release of his much-anticipated single, Colours, which comes as he has done little to no promotion for his current EP, I Love You.
Donald took to Instagram on Friday, 2 July 2021, to confirm that he is set to release the much- anticipated single, Colours, later in the month. The post came as a surprise to some, considering that the single is independent of his recently released EP, I Love You. Donald released the five-track body of work on Friday, 25 June 2021. Therefore, the announcement of the imminent release of Colours comes a week after he released his EP, which does not have the single as part of its tracklist.
On I Love You (EP), Donald gave fans the first listening experience of his fusion of house and R&B influences with the current dominant sound of amapiano. The EP was meant to be a feeler for the album, which he has confirmed that he is working on. The album is set to have Colours and Inkanyezi, featuring Lady Du, as part of its tracklist.
However, in the week since Donald released the EP, he has done little to promote the EP. The musician has not shared what the lead single of the EP is, or if he plans to support the music with visuals. Considering the lack of promotion put into the EP, the chances are slim. Therefore, fans of Donald can look forward to the release of Colours on Friday, 30 July 2021.
