Cassper Nyovest confirmed his directorial ambitions through the release of the eagerly awaited Siyathandana music video, featuring Boohle and producer-DJ, Abidoza.
Cassper Nyovest took to Twitter on Friday, 25 June 2021, to confirm the availability of the Siyathandana music video, featuring Boohle and Abidoza. The music video is for his third single off his upcoming sixth studio album, Sweet and Short 2.0, which is scheduled for release on Wednesday, 30 June 2021. Therefore, the release of the music video marks the final promotional push before the album’s availability.

In the music video conceptualised and directed by Nyovest, viewers are introduced to a township-based story. The local gardener develops a crush on the helper that is hired to clean the house he is cutting the lawn at. The music video is a comical take on star-crossed lovers. Nyovest also included all the main contributors to the single in the video. He plays the gardener, Boohle plays the love interest, and the producer of the single, Abidoza plays the employer.
On Saturday, 26 June 2021, following the release of the music video, Nyovest took to Twitter, stating, “Looking at the Siyathandana music video, which I wrote and directed, I feel proud. Consistency is the name of the game. I’d like to clap for myself this morning as I go to the warehouse to pick up SA Hip Hop’s first original shoe designed by me and Lekau. Drops June 28.” It is believed that the launch has been postponed due to the recently announced lockdown restrictions and regulations.
