Camilla Waldman shared insight on what fans of The Legacy can expect from her new role as the overly protective mother of original character, Jonno.

M-Net took to Twitter on Thursday, 1 July 2021, to share a video of Camilla Waldman speaking on her confirmed character of Dimitra on The Legacy. Dimitra is Jonno’s mother who comes into the world of the soapie as Jonno is set to get married to Petra, who is engaged to Jonno. However, the engagement was rocked by the news of Petra’s infidelity with SJ.


Speaking on her character, Waldman stated, “She adores her son. Her son is the centre of her whole life and she is widowed, so (she was) very excited for him. I think (she) has a little bit of anxiety about Petra.” This is as she refers to the infidelity, and how finding out about it shifted how she feels about Petra.

Moreover, speaking to whether fans can expect a possible villainous side to her character. Waldman does not speak to the fact, suggesting that Dimitra is a one-dimensional character. Therefore, for fans expecting to see a glimmer of her villainous side, they could be waiting for a while.
