Amanda Black released her second single for the year, titled Let It Go, which is off of her upcoming sophomore independently released album, Mnyama.
Amanda Black took to Instagram on Friday, 2 July 2021, to confirm the availability of her new single, Let It Go. The single marks the second single off of her upcoming studio album, Mnyama, which is expected for release on Friday, 6 August 2021. The first single released from the upcoming album was the single, Kutheni na, featuring Kwesta.
On Let It Go, Amanda Black delivers a mid-tempo key led arrangement. On the arrangement, Black and her producers opted for a sparse, and minimal arrangement. The point was to highlight the lyrics of the song, which speak to letting go of the burdens of the past in order to succeed in the future.
The burdens may be referencing the difficulties that the star faced since the release of her first debut independent album, Power. This is after she had finally ended her contractual issues with former record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment. The single functions as a mantra the star has used in light of her preparation for the release of the album.
The single is available for download on Apple Music.
