Late last year reports emerged of Nasty C's former label demanding that the rapper drop his stage name. Nasty has revealed that the change could really be happening. The 23 year-old was initially signed to FreeWorld Music before transferring to Mabala Noise.
He then left Mabala Noise for Def Jam - now both FreeWorld and Mabala are suing him for breach of contract and unpaid services.
Freeworld Music is demanding R4.5 million from Nasty and also wants him to drop the name that they gave him. During and interview for Netflix's Blood And Water premiere, Nasty revealed that he might change his name to Ivyson.
Over 100 000 viewers tuned in to watch the premiere of the highly-anticipated drama. It is the second Netflix original African series after the super lit Queen Sono.
Social media has not stopped since the show aired and fans are ready for a second season.
In fact, Blood And Water is the first South African original to take the number one spot on Netflix US. It has also taken the number one spot in countries like France, Bahamas, Jamaica and many others. Wow!
