Sirinat National Park
Sirinat National Park is a beautiful, coastal park that occupies an area of 22 square kilometres of coastal land and 68 square kilometres of sea. It is at the northwest coast of Phuket Island, 30 kilometres north of Phuket Town, adjacent to the Phuket Airport. It has sparkling white sand beaches and offers exciting view of low-flying aircrafts.
Distance from Patong Beach
Sirinat National Park is located at a distance of approximately 37 kilometres from Patong Beach. It takes around 1 hour to reach Sirinat National Park from the Patong Beach via Route 402.
How to Reach
You can reach Sirinat National Park from Patong Beach by bus by spending 145 to 225 baht. Bus travel duration is about 2.5 hours. Sirinat National Park to Patong bus services are operated by Phuket Smart Bus and buses depart from Patong station and connects Thalang Public Health Office station from the park to travel back to Patong. The fastest way to get to Sirinat National Park from Patong is to take a taxi that will cost 800 - 1000 baht and takes around 34 minutes.
Splash Jungle Water Park
Splash Jungle Water Park in Mai Khao Beach is the best place in Phuket if you want to get wet and experience wild thrills. It is an excellent family fun venue with fast-paced thrills, great food and drinks. The Water Park has 12 exhilarating water slides, rides and attractions. Distance from Patong Beach
Splash Jungle Water Park is located at a distance of 40 kilometres from Patong Beach. It takes approximately 1 hour to reach Splash Jungle Water Park from the Patong Beach via Route 402 or Route 4030.
How to Reach
Splash Jungle Water Park is located close to Phuket International Airport and a part of the Grand West Sands Villa Phuket. You can cover the distance from Patong Beach to Splash Jungle Water Park by bus, taxi or rented cars. By taxi or vehicle at your disposal you shall take an hour to reach the destination.
Dino Park Mini Golf & Restaurant
Dino Park Mini Golf is a fun destination to have a day out with family. It has a fashionable mini-golf course and restaurant. It is located between the Karon and Kata beaches on the Beach Road. The golf course is a full 18-hole course that has a dramatic pre-historic setting. The restaurant is Flintstones themed.
Distance from Patong Beach
Dino Park Mini Golf and Restaurant is located at a distance of approximately 10 kilometres from Patong Beach. It takes approximately 20 minutes to reach Dino Park Mini Golf and Restaurant, Phuket, from the Patong Beach via Route 4030.
How to Reach
The distance from Patong Beach to Dino Park Mini Golf and Restaurant can be covered by bus by paying a bus fare of 55-170 baht and takes around 42 minutes to reach the destination. After de-boarding from bus from Patong station you just need to walk around 1.1 kilometres for about 10-12 minutes to reach the Dino Park Mini Golf and Restaurant. A hired taxi takes just 10 minutes to reach but is expensive, charging around 300 – 372 baht to cover the same distance. Driving down to the Dino Park Mini Golf and Restaurant by rented two-wheeler or car is another option that can save the hassle of public transport. Driving down will also take the same 10 minutes. Rates for renting of bikes and cars depend on the type of bike or car rented and the duration for which it is being rented.
Dolphins Bay Phuket
Dolphins Bay Phuket offers the extravaganza of amazing dolphin and seal show at Phuket’s sole dolphinarium. Here, you can enjoy watching clever dolphin tricks like acrobatics, juggling and painting. It would be a thrill to get close to seals who even approach the audience to sit with them. It is a complete family entertainment with interactive fun.
Distance from Patong Beach
Dolphins Bay Phuket is located at a distance of 17.5 kilometres from Patong Beach. It takes approximately 32 minutes to reach Dolphins Bay Phuket, from the Patong Beach via Route 4029.
How to Reach
The distance from Patong Beach to Dolphins Bay Phuket can be covered by bus/Blue Songtaews by paying a bus fare of 60 baht and takes around 2 hours 15 minutes to reach the destination. Board a bus from Patong to reach Phuket town in 50 minutes with a bus fare of 30 baht. From there, another bus will take you to Chalong in 40 minutes by paying another 30 baht. From there you need to walk around 2.5 kilometres for about 30 minutes to reach the Dolphins Bay Phuket. A hired taxi takes just 20 minutes to reach but is expensive, charging around 470 – 600 baht to cover the same distance. Driving down to the Dolphins Bay Phuket by rented two-wheeler or car is another option that can save the hassle of public transport. Rates depend on the type of bike or car rented and the duration for which it is being rented. Taking a taxi from Patong to reach Dolphins Bay Phuket is easy as there are hundreds of taxis at Patong Beach. You can easily arrange a return. Prices can be bargained as they vary from one and another.
Monkey Hill Viewpoint
The Monkey Hill Viewpoint can be clearly spotted by the wireless masts at its top. About 400 macaques live wild and free on this famous Monkey Hill. It is the place to come face-to-face with monkeys and experience their cuteness. The path leading uphill remains filled with monkeys and offers views of Phuket’s eastern beaches. A bag of peanuts to feed the monkeys can be carried.
Distance from Patong Beach
The Monkey Hill Viewpoint is located at a distance of around 20 kilometres from Patong Beach. It takes approximately 40 minutes to reach Yanui Beach, Phuket, from the Patong Beach via Route 4030.
How to reach
To reach Kata Beach from Patong, it takes just about 10 minutes to cover approximately 11 kilometres and can be reached via bus or car or two-wheeler very comfortably. You can board a bus from Kata Beach, Patong or Karan Beach that takes you to the Town of Phuket. The bus will drop you off you near the Fountain Circle, which is 3 kilometres away from the Phuket Monkey Hill Viewpoint. In fact, you can reach Phuket Town via public bus from any part of the island of Phuket, including Kata Beach, Karon Beach and Patong. From this point, you can take the tuk-tuk or Taxi Service or simply walk up to Monkey Hill Viewpoint. Tuk-tuks or private cars can take you to Phuket Monkey Hill to reach straight to the top of the hill safely and without hassle. There are plenty of tuk-tuks available at the bus stop. Or in case you are eager enough to walk the 2.5 odd kilometres, then the walk promises to be pleasant which will take you past the colourful buildings and cute shops of Thalang Road.
But if you choose to visit the Phuket hill at sunset hours, between 16:00 and 19:00 hours, you will have to de-board and stop your vehicle at the Monkey Hill entrance gate because during this time, tuk-tuk and vehicles are not allowed beyond the gate and people can enjoy the walk via the narrow path and the sunset from the top of the hill.
