Lose Weight

If you’re looking to get back in shape or build some muscles, late spring and early summer is the perfect time to start working on your goal. However, if you enjoy nature, you might find it hard to spend time indoors, in a dull gym with grey walls.

Luckily for you, there are plenty of outdoor activities you can perform alone or with your significant other that won’t only count as quality time spent in the middle of nature but will also give you a full-body workout and help you lose those extra pounds.

Swimming

Swimming

Why go to an indoor pool with waters covered in bleach when you have the best workout outside? Head to the nearest pond, creek, river, lake or ocean and start swimming!

An hour of swimming will help you burn around 500 calories while also working on all your muscle groups - abs, butt, legs, shoulders, arms, and chest. What’s even better is that you can also get a beautiful tan at the same time. All you’ll need is a hot swimsuit and a WiFi endoscope to make sure the water you’re swimming in is clear of dangerous fish, jellyfish or junk.

Cycling

Cycling

Cycling is one of the best ways to enjoy the surroundings and get back in shape at the same time. Head toward the nearest mountain or national park if you want to ride with a view.

What we like the most about riding a bike is that you can choose your own pace and speed, according to your needs. You can go full cardio and increase the speed or, on the contrary, get a stroll being captivated by the beautiful surroundings.

The best part is that it is all for free, provided you already have a bike. Put on a pair of comfortable bike shorts, wear your helmet and gloves, and make sure you stay hydrated - you will be sweating a lot.

Rock climbing

Rock climbing

If you’re more adventurous, just buy a comfortable pair of hiking boots and attend some rock climbing classes. This activity will work on all your body muscles and increase your endurance. However, make sure you are safe at all times - always wear your protective gear and stay close to your instructor. Outdoor climbing is a lot more challenging than the walls you are used to climbing indoors.

Tennis

Tennis

Although considered a noble sport, tennis can help you get a full-body workout while looking glamorous in your white sports attire. Cardio, stretching, and fitness are all included in a tennis game played right. This sport also allows you to work on your strength, improve hand-eye coordination, and build muscles.

However, you will need a proper tennis court and high-quality equipment that doesn’t come cheap so, unless you are already subscribed to a country club, leave this sport for special occasions only.

Canoeing

Canoeing

If water is your favorite element, there are plenty of activities you can enjoy that will help you get back in shape and lose a few pounds. Canoeing and rafting are amongst the most common because they allow you to work on the top part of your body, especially on your shoulders, arms, and chest.
