Dr. Ken Hollis is a board-certified M.D. who has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. He is one with vast experience and a one-of-a-kind dedication to his craft. However, due to long work hours and standing at the OR table, Dr. Ken Hollis developed varicose veins and venous insufficiency. Dr. Hollis had vast experience with the traditional vein stripping for treating varicose veins, but he still could not settle and sought better treatment – his encounter with Metro veins. Dr. Hollis was treated with the modern-day venous insufficiency treatment, and the results were beyond his expectations. At this point, Dr. Ken Hollis decided to share his experience with the new treatment procedure with patients affected by venous insufficiency.

Before Metro Veins, Dr. Hollis had various interests in other branches of medicine, such as Trauma and Critical care medicine and general laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Hollis completed his residency and internship for general surgery at KU School of Medicine in Wichita. Dr. Hollis completed his postgraduate training at Baltimore Shock-Trauma Institute (MIEMSS). He then returned to Kansas and became a member of the KU medical faculty. During his time in Kansas, Dr. Hollis gained vast clinical experience and took a keen interest in the field of vascular and injuries of the chest. Chasing his interest in general laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Hollis eventually relocated to Houston. He is now located in Clear Lake, Texas, and has put his time and dedication into treating patients with venous insufficiency and varicose veins.

Dr. Hollis attended the Washburn University of Topeka, where he obtained his bachelor's in General Science. Dr. Hollis also graduated from the Kansas University School of Medicine with honors in pharmacology.
