An email signature is becoming famous nowadays but if you are not familiar with what it is and also want to add your own email signature in Outlook, then you have landed on the correct post. An e-mail signature is a block of text which is appended on the end of any email which you send. So, how to change the signature in outlook, well, these steps will help you in doing so:
- Go to the Home tab in the horizontal navigation bar that which is along the top of the Outlook screen.
- After that, go to the New Email box at the top-left corner of the screen which will be present just below the horizontal navigation bar at the top of your windows screen.
- The new message box will appear then, click on the Signature box within the Include tab. (You can locate the tab as it is situated as a fourth tab from the left in the new message box.)
- Below the *Signature* box, a drop-down will appear in which you need to select Signatures from the options.
- Go to the Email signature tab, and then click New.
- Here you will get the option as Type a name for this signature field; you need to enter some text which will helpful for you to remember the signature.
- To confirm the name, click OK.
- On the next screen that will appear, you need to highlight the name of the signature you created in the Select Signature to Edit box.
- There will be a large, empty box below Edit signature, where you have to enter in your name, title, company name, email address, social network information or any other details which you would like to be reflected in the signature which you are going to do at the end of any mail.
- You can give the different look to your signature. There are controls for font style, size, colour, and spacing, and you can apply them according to you and make your signature stand out.
- You can also want to add images such as company logo to the signature. Navigate to the insert image button and find the place from where you want to add the image and click on insert image button.
- You can also change your new messages and Replies/forwards options. This includes:
- If you want to apply your signature to all new messages, you can choose the name of the signature from the new messages which is there in the drop-down menu.
- If you also want to apply the signature to all of your replies and forwarded messages, choose Replies/forwards from the drop-down menu.
- You can choose the (none) option from the appropriate menu if you don't want to apply your signature to new messages, or replies and forwards for any reason.
- After all the changes which you have made to your signature, click on the save button.
- Finally, in main Signatures and Stationery box, click on ok to save all the changes which you have made.
