“Arbitrator William Mokhari has delivered his verdict on the Ajax Cape Town/Tendai Ndoro matter. He has found Ajax Cape Town guilty and docked them six points in matches against Platinum Stars,” reads Safa statement.
The Safa arbitration in March had ordered Ndoro to temporarily stop playing for Ajax after the local soccer body, Premier Soccer League (PSL) lodged a complaint against a ruling which declared Ndoro eligible to play, which was handed by the leagues Dispute Resolution Chambers.
Ajax Cape Town will now lose three points for their matches against Platinum Stars, Polokwane City, and Supersport United. All the three matches will be declared as won by Platinum Stars, Polokwane City, and Supersport United.
The team has also been fined R50 000 for each of the matches.
Orlando Pirates FC and Polokwane City FC had lodged a protest with the PSL arguing that Ajax Cape Town had contravened FIFA rules by fielding the player.
Meanwhile, Ndoro was found guilty of contravening FIFA’s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players by playing for Orlando Pirates, Saudi Arabian club Al Faisaly and Ajax Cape Town in a single season.
