Several South African rappers are currently winning, and many have even made the leap from the studio to the boardroom. One of such SA Hip Hop heavyweights presently cashing out is none other than Kwesta.

The award-winning multi rapper whose real name is Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi recently clinched 7x certification for his highly-successful “Dakar II” album; becoming the Nation’s best selling Hip Hop album of all time.

Add that to the fact that he also recently picked up SAMA24 nominations having managed a feat of 6 awards at the 2017 South African Music Awards – the first of any Hip Hop act in history.

However, Kwesta is also making magic off the circuit as the one calling the shots at RapLyf Records; further discovering new talents as well as the exploring the commercial side of the industry.

Not only that, but the “Ngiyaz’Fela Ngawe“ hitmaker has also been successful with his entrepreneurial skills, judging by the success of his RapLyf apparel apparently.

In fact, American-Nigerian rapper, Wale had recently helped promote the fashion line in a music video after the duo struck a bond once he featured on Kwesta‘s monster hit single, “Spirit.”

Now, Kwesta is set to launch his own line of shoes, and it does seem like the venture is already a success even before kicking off.

This is because he took to a social media channel, Twitter, to reveal his amazement at having already moved more than 20,000 shoes in pre-sales; accepting the fact that shoes do sell more than CDs.

“I said If I can sell CD’s I can definitely sell shoes… I never knew shoes sell better than CD. They launch in June, but we’ve already moved more than 20,000 pre-sales. We’re going to DIAMOND!💎” Kwesta Tweeted.
