The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) claims it’s uncovered a plot to assassinate party leader, Julius Malema.

The party believes a small group in the North West is planning to kill him. They have apparently approached assassins in various provinces. The EFF says the plot is related to a motion of no confidence against North West Premier, Supra Mahumapelo.

The red berets are calling for a secret ballot to unseat Mahumapelo.

The party has alerted the Police Minister and is increasing internal security.
