Trevor Noah’s show, The Daily Show, has just won the ultimate accolade in the world of television.
The show won the Outstanding Short Form Variety Series award at the 2017 Creative Arts Emmy Awards show last night.
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards honor outstanding artistic and technical achievement in a variety of television program genres, guest performances in weekly series, as well as exceptional work in the animation, reality and documentary categories.
This latest award will now go on Trevor’s mantel along with all of his other awards.
Trevor holds the Personality of the Year award from the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards, an Outstanding Literary Work-Biography/Auto-biography and an Outstanding Literary Work-Debut Author from the 2017 NAACP Image Awards for his book, Born a Crime, a 2017 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award for Favourite African Star, a 2017 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Talk Show Episode, and a 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards for Best Host.
The Minister of Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa has congratulated Trevor on his stunning achievement.
