Thando Thabethe is the latest South African star to get off the market. The TV and radio presenter revealed on Saturday that she’s engaged. Thando posted a picture showing off her gorgeous ring on social media and had everybody excited.
Speaking on her Thabooty Drive show on 5FM on Monday afternoon, she said the engagement happened when she was in Ibiza last week.
“It was Thursday in Ibiza. So obviously I was there for work and I don’t think he had planned to do it but we had a moment just him and it was a very deep conversation, and I guess he felt it was the right time. So then he went down on his knee and then he said “will you marry me”. But he didn’t have a ring ‘cause we were all the way in Ibiza, it wasn’t something he planned…”
She said on their flight back to SA, her man couldn’t stop talking about it. “And then we come back and he tells me now that as soon as we landed he went and got the ring designed, so there is no ring like this in the world. He got it specifically designed for me.”

Thando added that the ring is engraved. “It says ‘I love you, boo boo’.” The media personality, who has been with her man for almost five years, said no date has been set yet.
