The actress announced she has joined the second season of the hit show and has already started shooting. Thandy will play the role of female prisoner called Ntlaka or NK, short for Ntlakanipho.
“I am super excited to bring NK to life, especially because she’s an extreme opposite of Cleo (her character on The Queen) who is ghetto-fabulous. NK is stripped down to bare-minimum makeup and rocks natural hair for example but she has a powerful story,” she said.
“I went in there and I was totally shocked at what I found. I even felt a bit under-dressed when I realised that most women in there were on fleek. I tapped into their stories as they shared with me,” she said on having gone to a real prison for character research.
