Winnie took a moment to explain to True Love Magazine of why she left Kalawa Records. She left the recording company back in 2014. It caught everyone by surprise, she’s always been with them ever since most of us can remember.
Part of the reason for leaving is because she felt Kalawa wasn’t providing her with what she wanted for her career.
“I wasn’t growing anymore, leaving was painful because Kalawa is very close to my heart. Without Oscar Mdlongwa and the rest of the team who moved mountains to give me a chance when no one else would – i wouldn’t be where I am today.” She said
Another clarification should be of that there’s no bad blood between Winnie and Kalawa Records.
