Business woman, philanthropist and media personality Carol Bouwer’s dream came true yesterday when her inaugural African Odyssey summit was a resounding success.
At the gala dinner attended by some of South Africa’s top business people, media personalities, politicians and the fashion and beauty industry’s finest, Carol remembered the lives of women and children who had lost their lives due to gender based violence.
“We have lost a lot of Karabo Mokoena’s over the years and now it’s time to stop it. We need to do something about it,” she explained.
The dinner raised money for women and children’s affected by gender based violence. The guest of honor for African odyssey was America fashion guru , designer, business woman and author June Ambrose.
