We’re not sure if it’s the role of Busi on Muvhango that’s cursed or not. The second actress to portray the character has gotten the boot from the popular soapie.
According to reports, Bontle’s character was killed off for operational reasons. Muvhango publicist Amanda Ngudle confirmed in a statement.
“She is at a critical stage in her university life and we didn’t like that her schooling was being affected by her acting scheduling. So, a collective decision was made and she was made aware of it and she didn’t object to it.”
Reports say Bontle was told a day before her final scene that her character would be killed off. The actress was reportedly upset and unsuccessfully tried to confront the show’s bosses.
