The sexy starlet joined the soapie two years ago after Omuhle Gela, who used to play the character, left the popular SABC2 soapie.
“Busi was fired from Muvhango, we don’t know the reasons but the thing is they don’t tell actors when they are ending their roles.
“So she found out a day before her last scene that she was dying on the show,” a Muvhango staffer who declined to be named said.
The staffer said that the star was devastated and approached production about this but no one was willing to talk to her.
Sithole, 21, and her management, Legends agency, did not reply to questions sent to them by the time of going to print.
Sowetan understands that the petite beauty, who is also studying business management at the University of Johannesburg, shot her last scenes on the show last week.
Sithole is believed to have fallen out of favour with the production team after she was allegedly not paid in December and started asking questions.
Muvhango publicist Amanda Ngudle said: “Bontle is a good actor and a great person. However, her character was killed off for operational reasons.
“She is at a critical stage in her university life and we didn’t like that her schooling was being affected by [her] acting scheduling.
“So, a collective decision was made and she was made aware of it and she didn’t object to it. We wish Bontle all the best with her studies,” Ngudle said.
