5 Fallen heroes: Emzini Wezinsizwa actors who have passed on in the past

With the sudden passing of Mr. Washington Sixolo, we take a walk down memory and remember the late cast members of the show. Sixolo, who starred as Nobobwire's husband in the SABC1 show for years, died on Sunday after a long illness.

According to his daughter Lindelwa Sixolo, the late TV and film actor had been sick for some time struggling with multiple sicknesses.

Nyembezi Kunene aka "Mcunu" the security guard

In June 2016, the local acting industry was hit with a heavy blow again when Kunene's family confirmed that the actor passed on after succumbing to his battle with diabetes.

Kunene's last acting days were on Generations when he played the character of Malum' Jabulani.

Bafana Mlangeni aka "Sibeko"

The actor passed away in July 2015 and played the role of a drunkard known as Sibeko who caused a lot of havoc for the men at room 8 hostel. Bafana may have passed on but even to this day, he continues to make us laugh occasionally every time his 'Yazi Uzofa' meme circulates on social media.

Roland Mqwebu aka "Mkhize"

Roland passed away a month after Bafana in August 2015. He also acted on Shaka Zulu back in the 80's.

Shadrack Ngema aka "Magubane"

Ngema passed away in December 2015 after suffering from a heart attack. He was not only a television actor but a voice over artist and an Ukhozi FM radio personality.
