The lady in the yellow dress is at it again. It appears that Queen Skolopad’s thigh-baring stunts at the Metro FM awards last month have paid off. The aspiring musician and dancer bagged a gig to perform at the homecoming concert in Phuthaditjhaba (also known as Qwaqwa) this past weekend.


Queen Skolopad, whose real name is Nonhlanhla Qwabe, posted images of herself performing one of her songs on stage at the festival reportedly initiated by SABC COO, Hlaudi Motsoeneng – who hails from the dusty village of Thaba Bosiu in Qwaqwa.


The festival line up included the likes of Jub Jub, Rebecca Malope, Doc Shebeleza and Doctor Malinga. Skolopad performed after Rebecca Malope and put this as her video caption: “ …honoured by Dr. Rebecca Malope who ‘opened’ the stage for me…“. Yah neh!
