The memorial service of the late veteran entertainer Joe Mafela who died this past weekend is currently underway at the Joburg Theatre in Johannesburg. The memorial is being attended by government officials, his industry peers, his fans and media.
Various people have taken to the podium to express their love and admiration for Ntate Joe Mafela and they have all expressed how saddened they are by his untimely death.
“When we talk about people who are celebrities, we are talking about people like Joe Mafela. For us as the SABC we are grateful to have crossed paths with him,” SABC Spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago expressed in his speech at the memorial.
