If you were born in the 80s or before you are most likely to remember the SABC1 game show Zama-Zama hosted by the glamorous veteran personality Nomsa Nene. But now DRUM can confirm that Nomsa Nene will be on our small screens in a new e.tv drama series Broken Vows, starting on 10 April.
When she disappeared from the limelight, Nomsa Nene dipped her feet into the property industry, selling homes around Gauteng province.
“I took a break from acting because I needed to focus on other spheres of my life,” Nomsa says.
“I’ve been running my property company for years but my soul was missing acting. I was born an actor and I will die an actor.”
She will play the role of Lydia, a tough and bitter former beauty queen turned alcoholic, who has a troubled relationship with her daughter.
Nomsa Nene says a lot of people thought she had died but says she is alive and kicking. “I’m still here and they can see more of me on Broken Vows.”
