Joe Mafela 1942-2017

Joe Mafela passed away last night in a car accident.

We honour his memory by taking a look at some of our favorite pictures of the legendary entertainer.

He always made sure he wore his Sunday's best attire for whichever occassion he attended.

He was responsible for most of our childhood memories, Joe Mafela was the reason why we loved Chicken Licken in the first place.

Come to think of it, Joe Mafela was probably one of the first black actors to endorse a product post-apartheid South Africa.



There was never a dull episode when watching Joe Mafela on Sgudi'Snay's his constant beef with Gogo Louise was alway the highlight of every episode.



His welcoming smile is one other aspect of him we'll sorely miss.
