Radio broadcaster and business man Tbo Touch is a man of various talents, and his latest venture involves a television channel and a movie.
DRUM caught up with the man with the midas touch at the Four Seasons Hotel in Johannesburg where he was announced alongside media personality Bonang Matheba and Fashion designer David Tlale as the South African faces of French cognac brand Courvoisier.
“Being part of this brand is exciting, its embraces creativity and greatness. For me the partnership is ‘like-mindedness attracts like mindedness,” Tbo Touch explains.
Touch says the partnership is something that will help him grow his imprint in media. “I am all about growth and that’s what will happen with Courvoisier like has happened with my many ventures in the past.”
Speaking of ventures Touch revealed to DRUM that he is currently embarking on one of his most exciting and challenging ventures yet, getting into television and film production.
“I am launching a TV channel. I am working some people who we will travel to Los Angeles for the show and for some partnerships there. On the channel we will have three big local shows. I want to shoot a show that will give excellent actors and actresses that platform to show off their talent,” Touch revealed.
On top of the TV channel Touch is currently busy working on a big movie. “I am an executive producer on the movie, its a new but exciting challenge. It’s insane but the same energy to raise R200 000 is equal to what you need to raise R20 million for a movie,” he adds.
Even though he doesn’t reveal what the movie is about, Touch says taking the risks he has taken in life have made him realise that it is all worth it.
“You never know how strong you are until you are thrown in the deep end and have to swim to make it on top,” he explains.
