AKA insists that if young people do not get involved in politics, they will suffer because every decision made affects them directly. Case in point: DA L.E.S versus DA municipality in Gauteng.
AKA slammed DA for shutting down his friend and fellow rapper DA L.E.S's All White Pool Party. The party, which became a highlight on the social calender for an exclusive list of celebrities, was cancelled indefinitely after a successful 8-year-run.
"DA L.E.S's party was not just a party for the fun of it. It was part of the culture and important for the [hip hop] movement. But the DA just shut it down without understanding such aspects," AKA shared.
He went on to speak about the importance of a young leadership in South Africa, underlining that the issues that young people are faced with will be easier to understand by their peers. He added that DA L.E.S is a creative and that he will come back bigger and better.
"The All White Party will be back!" AKA ensured listeners.
The party was shut down after it failed to adhere to and meet municipal guidelines.
