AKA has come out in Okmalumkoolkat's defence after a tweet sparked a debate over his sexual offender past. "That man owes nobody an explanation except for the victim, his own child & his family," he wrote.
Okmalumkoolkat did the illustrations for AKA's Caiphus Song, which was released in February. Although the collaboration didn't get much attention, Okmalumkoolkat's past was brought to the fore after City Press pointed that he is a convicted sexual offender.
"That man owes nobody an explanation except for the victim, his own child & his family," wrote AKA on Twitter as people on the social media network debated the issue.
He didn't stop there. AKA went on a massive binge lambasting those who were calling Okmalumkoolkat out.
Okmalumkoolkat served one month of his six months sentence in an Australian prison after being found guilty of indecent assault and assault with indecent intent.
How many songs has he done with other artists? But AKA asks him to design his cover and this happens. You're making your agenda too obvious. https://t.co/OeGuoVSzjT— AKA (@akaworldwide) March 7, 2017
