Former public protector Thuli Madonsela has agreed to pay for the damage to her state car, as well as rental costs.
The payment has already been made, says the Thuli Madonsela Foundation.
The damages amounted to R470000.
The foundation’s Catherine Peter says; “Advocate Madonsela would like to reach a situation of closure and has been willing to pay for the costs on behalf of her son.”
“It’s important for her to act from her own moral compass and her beliefs.”
Madonsela’s son allegedly crashed the vehicle,a state BMW.
