The Nokia 6 – the new Android handset from HMD Global – sold out in 1 minute when it launched in China.
According to International Business Times, the device went on sale on JD.com at 10:06 on 19 January and was sold out by 10:07.
The company received over 1 million registrations for the flash sale, but did not reveal how many units were sold.
The Nokia 6 is selling for 1,699 Yuan ($245) exclusively in China at the moment, with no indication as to when the phone will be made available to other markets.
HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 6 on 8 January.
The company said the phone “embraces much-loved Nokia phone hallmarks of quality, superior craftsmanship, and relentless focus on the consumer experience”.
HMD said the Nokia 6 is made from a single block of 6000 series aluminium and sports a 5.5-inch full HD display covered by 2.5D Gorilla Glass.
Processing is taken care of by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 and 4GB of RAM. Built-in storage is 64GB, while it runs on Android Nougat (7.0).
