You better put on your dancing shoes, because Van Damme hitmaker Mroza is throwing one heck of a Maskandi party this weekend, and you're invited.
The popular musician's hit song Van Damme was recently crowned the SABC Summer Song of the Year. And to celebrate, he will be hosting an event at his hometown of Kwa-Hlabisa in KwaZulu-Natal this Saturday.
Mroza will be the guest of honour at the event, which is set to feature a number of other popular Maskandi artists including Thokozani Langa, Mdumazi and Mkhatha.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE on Thursday, Mroza's management at Mabala Noise confirmed that entrance to the concert will be free.
"The event is free and everyone is welcome to the come and celebrate with him. It is his way of giving back to his community and thanking them for their support," Mabala Noise spokesperson Tumi Moatshe said.
Mroza made headlines earlier this month with Van Damme's success in the SABC Summer Song of the Year competition and the artist is now looking forward to re-releasing his seventh album Kwakhala Nyonini under Mabala Noise.
Speaking about the inspiration behind his hit track, Mroza said: "The song is about motivating people to have a never-die attitude when facing challenges, like how Van Damme always over comes hardships and never dies in all his movies".
