While Mzansi’s gospel heavyweight Lundi Tyamara continues to fight for his life in hospital, his management and family have called on fans to pray for the star.
A statement issued by his manager, Anele Hlazo, details the condition that the star is suffering from. “It’s been four weeks that Lundi has been admitted at a Johannesburg hospital, as he fights off stomach TB and a liver condition,” it reads.
Anele adds that they still have hope that Lundi will pull through. “We are not giving up on Lundi. We believe that through God’s grace he will pull through. He might not be doing well right, but he is a fighter,” he says.
Meanwhile, sources who visited the singer at the hospital tell us that things are not looking good for the Ndixolele hit-maker.
“He’s not looking good at all, I went to see him and I must admit he needs all the prayers that he can get,” the insider reveals. The source goes on to divulge that fellow gospel legend Rebecca Malope was barred from seeing Lundi by a woman known only as Thobeka.
“Sis Thobeka would not allow Tshepo Nzimande and Rebecca Malope to see Lundi. I don’t understand why, because they are like family. Yes, Thobeka is the one who took him to hospital, but for her to do this when the only thing these people want to do is pray for him is wrong,” the source tells us.
