In the words of the late former South African President, Nelson Mandela, 'education is the most powerful tool which you can use to change the world' and Bonang is using her power to help financially disadvantaged students gain the powerful tool of education to make that change.
Bonang is not only all about her success but also the success of others, especially of those who can't financially get themselves through school.
One of the 10 recipients, Karen Mthethwa who seemed to have been in disbelief when she found out she had received a bursary from Matheba took to Twitter to announce the news with the caption: "Bonang Freaking Matheba is taking me to school?"
