On Mzansi Magic drama series Greed & Desire Simphiwe Ngema plays the role of Noni Ndlovu, a psychologist she describes as being “too ambitious” for her own good.
Simphiwe has been working on Greed & Desire since September 2016. She says this has been one of her favourite roles thus far.
What do you enjoy about your character Noni?
My character is a lot of fun; she’s very different from all the other roles I’ve played. She’s outgoing, free-spirited and carefree.

How do you relate to Noni?
She is driven, she knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to get it, that’s one thing we have in common. The difference between her and me is, Noni will do anything to get her way. I have some values and know when to draw the lie.

What should people expect from your role?
Entertainment is my passion, I really try to tap into the character to bring her to life.

What are your future plans?
I would really love to produce a film in the near future and I would love to star in a couple of movies. I’ve also grown to love presenting, it’s one of the things I would love to do in 2017 but everything is in God’s hands. I will be doing more acting, presenting and motivational speaking.
