Carol Tshabalala knows exactly what she wants when it comes to her career. And believe it or not, the first lady of sports turned down a job offer at CNN.
Speaking to Anele Mdoda on Real Talk with Anele, she explained why she didn't take the job.
"I turned down CNN, CNN is Atlanta," Carol said.
She added: "First of all: my kids growing up in the States? No. I love the [States] to visit. You know, like I'll go there and I'll come back. Haai no, the life there is just too fast."
She also mentioned that she's all about sports, while CNN is news. "They don't have any rights to anything... For me it didn't, it didn't satisfy what it is that I wanted to do, and how it is that I wanted to take my sporting career even further. And that's why I say, what I'm doing now with SuperSport - I mean we do everything, you know. It really is a global broadcaster."
Carol said SuperSport gives her the global platform she needs at the moment, and CNN would not.
In September, Carol was announced the sports presenter in the United Kingdom for the Barclays Premier League on Football Today.
