DJ FINZO has overcome many challenges before.
But this time, the problem seems to be a mountain impossible to climb.
It started out as a joke but now many people have come out in support of the short DJ, who can’t reach the urinals in public toilets.
DJ Finzo, whose real name is Phinel Sefatsa, told Daily Sun he didn’t want to say much as he didn’t want to make a story out of it.
Tshidiso Matau, manager of the popular DJ on SABC’s Lesedi FM, said: “When Finzo voiced his complaint on Facebook, many people in similar conditions posted their opinions about the toilet saga.”
Following the post, many felt sorry for him while others took it as a joke.
Andile, who has similar challenges, posted: “He jokes about his height and inspires many who think they have limitations.”
He said when it came to the toilet issue, he could relate.
“Immediately when I enter the men’s toilet I can tell from far if it’s out of reach. And I shoot straight to the toilet seat as if I’m going to pupu . . . Lol!
Thabo Moremi said he is a plumber. “I’ll take that into consideration when we do building specification. Thanks for opening our eyes, Finzozo.”
Corina Kouveld said something should be done for the sweet and short.
“We treasure you,” she said.
Kaizer Kganyago, spokesman for the SABC, said 2% of their staff consist of people with disabilities.
“All buildings of the public broadcaster are user friendly and accessible. That’s why we have special toilets,” Kganyago told Daily Sun.
