South Africans on social media are demanding cellphone network providers (Cell C, Vodacom and MTN) lower data prices within 30 days or face a mass exodus to alternative networks.
A tweet from radio personality, TBO Touch (Thabo Molefe) seems to have ignited the campaign after he said it was ridiculous that South Africans' topped the list on world rankings on high data prices.
All Networks have 30days to make a change! We will all move our subscription to the network that cares about its customers #datamustfall— Tbo Touch (@iamtbotouch) September 14, 2016
In an overwhelming response to the campaign, social media weighed-in on the matter and offered solutions to the problem in the #datamustfall campaign.
None of the network providers fingered in the campaign have responded to the outcry.
I swear MTN chows your data even when your phone is off. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ #datamustfall— Ramela Moses® (@TheeAlphaBro) September 14, 2016
