The legendary singer and producer is hanging up the mic to put more focus on music behind the scenes.
Although he’ll stop releasing his own albums, he won’t stop making music.
‘I know where my strengths lie,’ Malinga told Sowetan. ‘I have realised my strength is being the man behind the music, so that’s what I’m going to concentrate on,’ he added.
Before he fades to the back, Robbie’s reported to be working on releasing one last album which will be a collaborative album before spring.
Malinga has worked with the likes of Kelly Khumalo, Zahara, Musa Sukwene, Naima Kay and Nhlanhla Nciza.
