Hip-hop star Riky Rick has broken his silence on the damning accusations made by EFF leader Julius Malema last week.
Riky Rick, who recently signed to Mabala Noise, was named by Malema as one of the artists who apparently received R5 million to join the label.
In a press conference at the IEC results centre broadcast on live TV on Friday, Malema said that ANC Youth League treasurer general Reggie Nkabinde headed up the music group.
He said that artists signed to the label received "not less than R5 million" and that the funds came from dodgy government tenders.
"Bhek... There is no R5million I ever received from anyone... @Julius_S_Malema DO NOT LIE TO THE PEOPLE," wrote Riky on Twitter.
"Anyone who knows me knows how hard we work for what we have... @Julius_S_Malema included. Dont ever get it twisted," he added.
Mabala Noise has since called an urgent press conference in Johannesburg to address the claims
