Lentswe Bhengu joins BBC’s ‘Great South African Bake Off’ as new co-host!

Lentswe Bhengu was named the co-host of the BBC’s lifestyle series Great South African Bake Off!

He will host the show alongside Anne Hirsch and judges Shirley Guy and Tjaart Walraven. The show will begin airing in October 2016.

“I’m over the moon to be joining The Great South African Bake Off. The format is a global phenomenon and I can’t wait to join BBC Lifestyle’s successful local version. It will be great to see and hopefully sample, all of the baker’s creations” Lentswe said in a statement.

Born and raised in KwaZulu Natal, he is a familiar face to foodie fans across the continent after appearing on Soweto TV’s Kasi Kitchen, web series Africa on a Plate and SABC3’s morning show Expresso.
