Caster Semenya pulls out of 400m

Cape Town - South Africa's Caster Semenya will not compete in the 400m at the Rio Olympics in order to focus on her specialist 800m event.

The heats for the women's 800m will take place from 15:55 (SA time) on Wednesday, August 17.

Semenya is the overwhelming favourite for gold in the event.
